Essential Functions
- Aid Plant Manager/Seed Advisor in daily operations
- Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles
- Mix, load, and apply pesticides and fertilizers at applicable rates to the appropriate fields
- Handle and deliver bulk and package chemicals
- Load/unload pallets or seed boxes with forklift
- Treat soybeans
- Clean and maintain warehouse and equipment
- Maintain application/spray records
- Organize and coordinate application timetable with customers
- Recertify spraying technician license and safety training every two years
- Build and develop long-term relationships with customers, peers, and suppliers

Work Environment
- The position will be required to work at a retail location in all types of weather.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
- This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws.
- Days and hours of work are based on the needs of customers and seasonal work.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Associate’s degree (2 yrs) preferred and/or minimum 2 - 5 years of job experience required.
- CDL & Hazmat certification or willingness to complete within 60 days of employment
- Intermediate computer and software skills required.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs.
- Must be able to obtain Illinois Department of Agriculture Applicator and Seed Treatment certifications.
