About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Applicator to join our team. The Applicator is responsible for operating and maintaining spray equipment, blending chemicals according to labels, and ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain spray equipment, including unloading and delivering product accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
• Blend crop protection products per label instructions to ensure quality, read maps, follow directions, and operate equipment with computer-assisted operations.
• Interact regularly with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional customer service, promote continuous improvement, and foster a teamwork-focused environment.
• Collaborate with Sales and Agronomy teams on field scouting and chemical mix recommendations.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA, vehicle policy, fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma/GED or 0-1 year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Commercial Applicator License or ability to obtain one.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• English proficiency.
• Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, loud noise, and other environmental factors, while using personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) and confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
• Experience running applicator equipment.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, hear, and taste or smell.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and outside weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
