Applications Engineer - Entry Level

Responsibilities

• Design, select, and configure pumps and fluid systems
• Support applications engineering with equipment sizing, pricing, and quoting
• Provide technical support to sales, service, and customers
• Manage project bids, orders, and timelines
• Cook up documentation and equipment start-up coordination with factory
• Maintain and update quotation logs
• Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force & customers
• Promote & encourage "Profit Management" to ensure a profitable future for the company
• Work closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements
• Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs & cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements
• Talk and connect with people in person and over the phone
• Make equipment recommendations and prepare quotations
• Aid in the follow-up of all quotes

Qualifications

• 1+ years applicable experience p
• Preferred knowledge of centrifugal pumps, other fluid handling equipment & fabricated pumping systems
• 4-year degree preferably in engineering
• The ability to talk and connect with people in person and over the phone is a must
• The drive to do whatever it takes to solve the customer’s problems and fulfill their needs
• Computer literate
• Organized and detail oriented
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter demonstrated ability to work productively with minimal supervision
• Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines
