Applications Engineer

About the role

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer needs with tailored engineering solutions
• Develop designs and detailed drawings
• Translate technical requirements into accurate quotes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Guide projects from initial inquiry through delivery
• Ensure every solution meets performance, cost, and timeline expectations
• Build trusted relationships with customers
• Proactively drive projects forward
• Ensure each outcome reflects Thermo's commitment to quality and innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or product engineering
• Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to develop quotes and cost estimates
• Strong project management and presentation skills

Qualifications

• Preferred direct experience with flexible heater products (etched foil, silicone rubber, Kapton)
• Knowledge of UL/CSA/RoHS standards
• Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems
• Experience in industries such as medical devices, semiconductors, aerospace, food processing, or EV systems
• Familiarity with related manufacturing processes

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools

• Ability to develop quotes and cost estimates
