Applications Engineer

About the role

This position will work with cross-functional teams on 800V HVDC power module design, requiring knowledge of power electronics, Si/wide band gap device fields, and hands-on development experience in prototype builds for HV 500kHz–1MHz DC/DC converters.

Responsibilities

• Circuit and module design: Design and develop power electronic modules for 800V HVDC applications, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
• System integration: Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure the power module meets performance, thermal management, and cost requirements.
• Component selection: Choose appropriate components for high-voltage circuits, considering efficiency, reliability, and cost.
• Testing and validation: Perform tests and troubleshoot to ensure the power module functions as designed and meets all specifications.

Requirements

• M.S (Ph.D preferred) in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledgeable in power conversion topologies, power devices, magnetics, and control loop design.
• Lab skills in using oscilloscopes, function generators, and test equipment.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink, SIMetrix, Pspice/Ltspice, and Ansys simulation tools.
• Good communication skills and a team player.
