Applications Engineer
About the role
The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity to join the team responsible for managing our premier product line – electromechanical testing systems. As an Applications Engineer your role will include a unique blend of expert applications consulting, sales support, product marketing, and business development within a wide array of industries ranging from biomedical to food, textiles to plastics.
Responsibilities
- Become proficient in our extensive line of testing equipment, accessories and software
- Utilize technical and product knowledge to support sales opportunities
- Conduct product demonstrations, sales presentations, and train the sales, service, and support staff on the use of our products
- Close and detailed contact with customers and field sales force to produce complex system proposals, pursue custom product requests, resolve customer issues, and build customer relationships
- Travel to customer sites, technical conferences, exhibitions, and seminars representing up to 25% of work time
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science)
- Relevant commercial work experience or strong interest in sales or marketing
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Successful candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science), with some relevant commercial work experience or an interest in either sales or marketing. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are also required for this challenging role.
Skills
Technical proficiency in electromechanical testing systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Benefits
Compensation Information This position has a starting salary range of $85,000 to $90,000 per year. Pay is determined by several factors, including a candidate’s experience, relevant skills, and qualifications.
