Applications Engineer

About the role

Enviromatic Systems, Inc. installs DDC control systems in commercial office buildings, schools, hospitals, colleges and government buildings. The Applications Engineer will create control drawings, ensure proper electrical wiring diagrams, draft sequence of operations, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects.

Responsibilities

• Create control drawings in VISIO
• Ensure proper electrical wiring diagrams
• Develop system architecture and layout
• Draft sequence of operations
• Communicate with programmers, project managers, and sales engineers to ensure proper scope of work
• Coordinate with internal and external customers
• Create bill of materials
• Detail wiring termination and panel layout
• Document as-built manuals

Over 95% of the role is performed in an office environment with minimal field work.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Service-driven attitude
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC control systems
• Experience with MEP plan/spec interpretation and application
• Ability to survey existing facility systems
• Excellent writing skills
• Responsiveness to customers and coworkers
• Experience with drawings and/or computer graphics
• Strong sense of urgency
• Well-organized and able to multi-task
• Teamwork and strong problem-solving abilities
