Applications Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create custom engineering designs
• Develop software configurations
• Generate bills of materials
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of five (5) years of engineering or technical application experience
• Strong understanding of electrical control systems and industrial automation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database systems
• Experience interpreting technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with radio remote control systems, industrial controls, or material handling equipment
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial communication protocols
• Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering change processes
• Understanding of manufacturing and shop-floor operations

Work Environment & Schedule

• Full-time position based at Cattron World Headquarters in Warren, Ohio
• Standard daylight shift schedule
• Hybrid work arrangement currently available, allowing employees to work remotely 2–3 days per week, subject to business needs and company policy
• Occasional overtime may be required to support customer orders, project deadlines, or special assignments
• Travel may be required to support customer installations, commissioning, and technical service activities
