Responsibilities
- Lead and technical responsibility for the development of the foundation brake of new and existing programs
- Responsible to gather customer’s vehicle parameters, packaging data and engineering requirements
- Responsible to evaluate new program technical requirements
- Responsible to perform brake system analysis
- Responsible for customer reviews and internal drawing releases
- Assist with technical presentations and quote submissions
- Assist with meeting customer program requirement, i.e. APQP, PPAP, etc.
- Support customer and plant personnel during ramp-up of start of production and during series production throughout the life of the program
- Support customer engineering problem resolution related to quality and warranty
- Participate in customer test activities and vehicle builds
- Participate in problem solving activities
- Participate in continuous improvement
- Oversee prototype build and delivery
- Periodic travel required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 - 5 years of experience (preferred)
