Applications Engineer 4 (SIEM) with Security Clearance

About the role

The Applications Engineer (Senior) will design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses, oversee software development and support, estimate costs and schedules, review and refine existing programs, and improve current techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and CASE tools.
• Estimate software development costs and schedules.
• Review existing programs to assist in making refinements.
• Formulate and define specifications for software applications or modify and maintain existing applications.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software applications.
• Instruct, direct, and check the work of other task personnel.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and evaluate existing and new software products.

Requirements

• Ability to continuously monitor security tool suites through IT system management.
• Ability to conduct database administration to monitor, report, and repair system health.
• Ability to analyze vulnerabilities and deficiencies within the security tool suite.
• Ability to research and evaluate commercial products to eliminate vulnerabilities.
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate with ancillary organizations for procurement and disposal of hardware and software.
• Ability to design, validate, and implement access controls as part of systems and service solutions.

Minimum qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed, with a High School Diploma or GED.
• 10+ years of experience with an Associate's Degree; 8+ years with a Bachelor's Degree; 6+ years with a Master's Degree; or 4+ years with a Doctorate's Degree.

Salary Range: $178,000.00 - $260,000.00
