Applications Development Tech Lead Analyst
Citibank, N.A. is seeking an Applications Development Tech Lead Analyst for its Irving, Texas location. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
About the role
This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing client/server and web applications. You will participate in technical and architectural discussions, translate strategic vision into technical requirements, and enable Straight-Through Processing (STP) for the "luna flow." Additionally, you will design backend APIs to integrate with Gemini 2.0 Flash for advanced intent classification, conduct feasibility studies, and provide time and cost estimates. The position spans the entire development lifecycle, ensuring robust post-launch support and adherence to industry standards and security measures. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and mentor junior analysts.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement client/server and web applications using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Python, Angular, Node, JavaScript, and Web Services in Unix, Linux, and Windows environments using RUP/Agile methodologies.
- Engage in technical and architectural discussions to translate strategic vision into precise technical requirements and solutions.
- Enable Straight-Through Processing (STP) for the "luna flow" and design backend APIs to integrate with Gemini 2.0 Flash for advanced intent classification.
- Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, provide accurate time and cost estimates, and contribute to IT planning and application development.
- Span the entire development lifecycle from analysis and design to implementation, ensuring robust user and operational support post-launch.
- Analyze complex issues, evaluate business processes, and recommend cutting-edge programming solutions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and developing strong security measures.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for senior stakeholders and mentor junior analysts.
- Operate with substantial autonomy and independent judgment to proactively assess and mitigate risk, ensuring compliance with all regulatory frameworks and upholding the highest ethical standards.
- Develop code and apply it to higher environments.
- Create test case documents and perform unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy microservices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
- 6 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience as a Systems Analyst, Digital Software Engineer Senior Analyst, Java Developer, IT Analyst, or related position, gathering and analyzing business requirements and converting them into functional and technical design documents.
Skills
The required 6 years of experience must include:
- Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, JDBC, JSON, Web Services (REST/SOAP), XML, WSDL, JSON.
- WebSphere, STS, Visual Studio, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, SQL Server, SVN, SoapUI, Splunk, Windows.
Must have 1 year of experience with:
- NLP, Node, JavaScript, TypeScript.

Pay
Wage Range: $159,500 to $181,952. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
