Applications Development Group Manager

Senior management role responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. Drives applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties (e.g., design and code reviews, performance evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions).
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management, and planning while monitoring end results.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
• Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
• Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, drawing from internal and external sources.
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary.
• Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• 8+ years of extensive experience in Software Architecture, System Analysis, and programming of software applications.
• 8+ years of experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development (Java/Spring Boot, NoSQL Database, Distributed Messaging).
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Selenium).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Experience managing global technology teams.
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Education

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Pay

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00 annual salary. In addition to salary, eligible employees may receive discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
