About the role
The Applications Development Engineer will focus on developing and implementing product applications for both existing and pre-release products to maximize customer value. This role is part of KLA's Global Products Group, dedicated to metrology and inspection products for semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, working autonomously on projects. The position requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement product applications for existing and pre-release products.
- Support projects related to new product introduction including characterization, alpha testing, beta testing, and pilot tools.
- Perform product diagnosis and problem resolution while interfacing with software and systems engineering.
- Conduct customer product demonstrations and provide technical training to Field Applications Engineers and end users.
- Document all test results and lessons learned in Best Known Methods, training documents, and demo reports.
Requirements
- Master's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player.
- 70% travel will be required.
- Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and 0-2 years related work experience.

Pay
$97,800 - $166,300 per year
