About the role

Nightwing is seeking a Full Stack Web Application Developer (Expert) in Herndon, VA to join a team of developers, ETL developers, and data scientists. The role involves integrating AI/ML technology into a production web application, designing, developing, and testing code, and providing demonstrations and detailed walkthroughs of features.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate AI/ML technology into a production web application
  • Participate in iterative software development teams
  • Develop rapid prototypes to drive out requirements and design
  • Provide demonstrations and detailed walk-throughs of features to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Communicate with stakeholders, analyze requirements, develop user stories, and translate these into software development tasks
  • Develop technical documentation and briefing materials to support program status reviews, control gates, and other presentations as directed

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-6 years of demonstrated ability to design, develop, test, and implement new applications based on project requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years building web applications and UI/UX frameworks using Angular, React, or JavaScript with specific examples
  • Java Spring framework is a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience working with Linux Operating systems
  • Minimum 4-6 years of demonstrated experience with development and deployment of applications in the Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) environment or an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment
  • Minimum 4-6 years of demonstrated experience with search & analytic tools such as ElasticSearch, Solr, OpenSearch
  • Minimum 4-6 years of microservices up to and including docker, podman, and/or containerization services
  • Strong development experience is required
  • Minimum 4-6 years of Object Oriented software development experience is required
  • Python is preferred but would consider Java, CSharp, HTML, or SQL
  • Fundamental understanding of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processing with large structured and unstructured raw data sets

Qualifications

  • Proven ability in decomposing concepts to discrete development tasks and managing your work to a deadline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or other relevant field and minimum of six years of experience (Master’s degree equates to an additional 2 years of relevant work experience)
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Day 1 Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards. Nightwing offers medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage in addition to a 401k plan, PTO, holidays, and additional insurances.
