Applications Architect

About the role

We’re searching for an Applications Architect who thrives in a fast-paced setting. In this onsite position, you will review application requirements, architectures, and designs, then develop, optimize, and certify the application and system design of our Integrated Delivery Systems (Real-time Location Systems Platform). You will identify and resolve application information flow, integration, and infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and coordinate the design of new and existing applications and architectures for Integrated Delivery Systems.
• Ensure new development aligns with and integrates into the existing information data structure.
• Lead business analysis, information acquisition, data access design, archive/recovery strategy, security, and change management.
• Evaluate system flow, data usage, and processes to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and modify technical specifications for the Integrated Delivery System.
• Coordinate the design, analysis, and implementation of new systems and modifications to existing systems.
• Oversee configuration, development, and system testing.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Collaborate with managers, Information Services personnel, users, and vendors to disseminate information.
• Research emerging technology trends and directions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Master’s degree in science preferred.
• 10 years of major system design and implementation experience required.
• Management or project leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for four (4) years of work experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) additional years of work experience.
• Up to two (2) years of clinical patient care or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two (2) years of information systems experience on a month-to-month basis.

Realtime Location System experience is preferred but not required.
