Applications Analyst-Clinical (Epic Clinical Documentation)
About the Role
Eisenhower is seeking an Epic Clinical Documentation certified analyst or an individual with relevant clinical-setting experience to join the team and gain certification within the required time frame. This analyst will provide production support, on-call and after-hours support, develop new functionality, perform analysis, problem-solve, and support clinical and non-clinical users in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, the analyst will own or manage small to medium projects and support the core functions of EMC Epic clinical applications to enable cost-effective, high-quality, efficient, and safe patient care. The position involves implementing, administering, and supporting assigned clinical systems under the guidance of senior team members, with a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations.
The analyst will address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity, delivering clear communication and documentation of complex concepts related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide production, on-call, and after-hours support for Epic clinical applications.
- Develop new functionality, perform analysis, and problem-solve for clinical and non-clinical users.
- Own or manage small to medium projects.
- Implement, administer, and support assigned clinical systems under senior team guidance.
- Address issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity.
- Deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows.
- Coordinate application support with other IT teams, including System Administrators, DBAs, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk.
- Implement changes using documented procedures compliant with department policies.
- Provide solutions to work orders, trouble tickets, and projects for assigned departments.
Requirements
- Epic Clinical Documentation certification (or relevant clinical-setting experience with a requirement to gain certification within a specified time frame).
- Thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations.
