About the role
Supermicro is looking for an Application Validation Engineer to take ownership in motherboard, server system, and other server component testing. The individual will work with cross-functional engineering teams to fix quality issues and ensure the products meet engineering and customer specifications, support Research and Development engineering, and pre-and-post product release activities, such as white-box design verification, BIOS/IPMI testing on the board products, as well as on the system level, and black-box testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform motherboard, server system, and other server component validation testing
- Conduct functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress, and reliability testing
- Document and analyze test data
- Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
- Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions
- Contribute to the development of test utilities and test script automation
- Provide Linux kernel, driver, and application analysis and support
- Support internal and external quality issues and drive to issue resolution
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
- Solid working knowledge in hardware validation testing
Pay
Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
