Application Support / Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 application support for mission-critical applications.
  • Support incident management, problem management, and change implementation activities.
  • Monitor application health, availability, and performance.
  • Coordinate deployment support activities with development and cloud engineering teams.
  • Document root causes, operational procedures, and support processes.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding. Active Public Trust or suitability preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • US citizenship is contractually required.
  • Minimum of five years of overall work experience.
  • Experience with application support or production operations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of incident management and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with monitoring and ticket management systems.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Experience supporting AWS-hosted applications.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Basic scripting and automation experience.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Pay

Annual salary range: $70,000 – $116,000. Compensation decisions depend on skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensure, certifications, and business needs.
