About the role
The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities such as developing essential infrastructure capabilities, implementing data standards, and ensuring governance.
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. This includes research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, and other activities related to software products used internally or externally. The Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for applications beyond the development stage, ensuring smooth daily operations. You will work closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal/external clients to resolve technical support incidents.
Responsibilities
- Analyze application systems to prevent recurring incidents.
- Expand the knowledge base of operating procedures and runbooks for supported applications.
- Collaborate within the team to resolve application alerts and escalate as needed.
- Gather requested documentation in support of ongoing audit requests.
- Execute assigned steps of Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, collecting BCM evidence as needed.
- Ensure automation produces expected results within stated thresholds.
- Monitor dashboards to provide visibility into potential issues and future outages.
- Analyze proposed application designs and provide feedback on potential gaps relative to business requirements.
- Execute renewals/service account password changes as scheduled, resolve production defects, and handle minor enhancements.
- Align risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalate appropriately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Schedule
- Flexible/hybrid model: 3 days onsite (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and a third day unique to each team or employee) and 2 days remote.
- Tuesday–Saturday shift.
