Role Overview
This position is for a Front End Java Developer to support the Collateral Valuation Services team. The role is critical in delivering a Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis solution and addressing technology remediation, including upgrades to RHEL, WebLogic, and JDK. This involves coordination with technology partners and external vendors to meet delivery commitments and mitigate operational risk.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and take ownership of feature delivery while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Adhere to enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality assurance.
- Ensure solutions meet product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
- Oversee compliance and security requirements, including audit support at the team level.
- Act as a liaison for production activities and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a well-defined product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
- Guide the team in work breakdown and task execution to meet delivery timelines.
- Serve as a team lead and mentor team members to enhance their skills and practices.
- Provide expertise in planning, estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering best practices.
- Identify skill and role gaps within the team and collaborate with the Technology Manager to address them.
- Support the Technology Manager in developing resource contingency plans.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with Core Java, J2EE, Spring 5, Hibernate, and Spring MVC/Batch.
- Proficiency with GIT/Bitbucket or Subversion.
- Experience with WebLogic Server, performance tuning, ETL processes, and both Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong querying and PL/SQL skills across multiple database platforms, including Oracle and SQL Server.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular 17 or above, and Node.js.
- Experience with MicroStrategy and Tableau for reporting and data visualization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Proficiency with Selenium and Cucumber for test automation.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies.
- Experience with AWS, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Oracle Exadata and MS SQL Server.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
- Understanding and experience with microservices-based development.
