Role Overview

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of complex requirements to achieve business objectives. The role involves ensuring software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Solutions must be well-designed with maintainability, ease of integration, and testing built-in from the beginning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Code solutions and perform unit tests to deliver requirements according to defined acceptance criteria.
  • Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers.
  • Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices.
  • Execute story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work for the delivery lifecycle.
  • Perform proofs of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
  • Automate manual release activities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance.
  • Deliver complex features and technology to enable development efficiencies.
  • Provide technical thought leadership based on software implementation experience.
  • Remain accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in multiple frontend and backend languages including Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting.
  • Deep understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
  • Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing.
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or Service Now.
