Application Packaging Engineer

About the role

The Application Packaging Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that applications are packaged to company standards and delivered on time. This includes facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deploying software into the Production environment, providing third-line application deployment support, and working closely with IT colleagues to maintain a consistent, standardized global environment.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for packaging applications to company standards and timeframes, inc. facilitating UAT
• Deliver software into the Production environment, in adherence with Information Security policies and Change Management best practices, to globally distributed clients and Citrix estates
• Provide third line application deployment support, inc. Service Desk coaching
• Work closely with IT colleagues to ensure a consistent, standardized global environment
• Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions, constantly seeking to enhance processes and the general environment
• Occasionally required to work out of hours, including bank holidays and weekends
• Carry out additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Expert in Microsoft Windows Installer authoring
• Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager: Application configuration and Deployment management
• Hightly motivated with a passion for technology and technical detail
• Experience working in a locked down global enterprise environment
• Good teamwork and knowledge transfer skills
• Solution-focused and committed to high quality delivery
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn ‘on the fly’
• A good communicator who can discuss technical subjects in layman terms
• Must have experience of high-pressure, large-scale environments

• Flexera AdminStudio Suite – Repackaging Applications for Windows Installer
• Microsoft Application Virtualization – Advanced troubleshooting
• Scripting languages: PowerShell and VBScript
• Experience managing Microsoft AppLocker rules
• Microsoft Intune Configuration Profile management

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - 105,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through February 28, 2026.
