Application Modernization Engineer (C++/Java)

About the role

The role involves assessing the current Windows-based legacy application environment, designing modernization solutions, and implementing scalable cloud-native architectures using Docker and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy C++/Java applications from Windows to Linux using Docker and AWS
• Design modernization solutions for application and database migration
• Implement scalable cloud-native architectures leveraging modern AWS services, containerization, and infrastructure automation
• Work closely with client stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in application modernization, cloud migration, or similar roles
• Strong understanding of AWS services and containerization technologies
• Experience with C++ and Java programming languages
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering complex application modernization projects
• Experience with database migration tools and techniques
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
