Application Engineer/Scientist III
About the role
A Top-Tier Global Life Sciences Leader seeks a dynamic Application Engineer/Scientist III to join their innovative Downstream Application team in Bedford, MA. This role involves designing, developing, and testing novel chromatography products that directly impact the manufacture of life-saving therapeutic biopharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities
- Design and test prototype chromatography products within a highly collaborative R&D environment.
- Develop innovative materials, devices, and methods to meet performance and cost objectives.
- Analyze and summarize experimental results to deliver clear technical presentations and written reports.
- Take proactive initiative to solve complex technical challenges and guide junior team members.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support successful product launches.
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or an equivalent applied science discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting chromatography systems.
- Strong proficiency with modern laboratory techniques, procedures, and EHS safety compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with cross-functional exposure.
