Application Engineer

About the role
As a global leader in server technologies, Supermicro is developing end-to-end enterprise IT solutions with compute, storage, networking, and full rack or multi-rack level systems. We are seeking a Sr. Product Manager to work with enterprise customers and drive business with enterprise and data center solutions.
Responsibilities
- Work with design, validation engineers, and system product managers to support New AMD CPU/GPU Product Introductions (NPI).
- Work on AI, Agentic AI, GPU, and CPU-related server product lines.
- Work directly with customers, sales reps, FAEs, and onsite teams to resolve issues relating to motherboards, server systems, computer peripherals, and software.
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D HW/SW, production) to resolve technical issues.
- Use AI to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/software-related field issues, establish root causes, and propose suitable solutions.
- Act as the product expert with deep technical understanding, engaging with product support and development teams to provide correct solutions to customers.
Requirements
- BSEE or Computer Engineering/Science; MSEE or Computer Engineering/Science with 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Familiarity with compute, storage, GPU, and networking server technologies and engineering principles.
- Initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience utilizing AI to analyze data and provide usable troubleshooting results is a major plus.
- Experience and knowledge in AI software development, implementation, and deployment.
- Highly analytical, creative, detail-oriented, organized, and a good team player.
- Technical support experience in the PC/Server industry or extensive knowledge of Supermicro product offerings, server technology, and configuring server systems is a plus.
Pay
Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000. The offered salary will depend on factors such as location, level, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience. Candidates may also be eligible for bonus and equity award programs in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
