About the role

Join our Kansas City, KS team as an Application Engineer and analyze, organize, and configure the application of centrifugal pumps to meet complex customer requirements. Responsibilities

  • Design and configure custom quotations to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Review and interpret rotating equipment and pump requirements, including engineering calculations, materials of construction, special requirements, pricing, replacement and interchangeability, and system design and evaluation.
  • Provide technical information on product performance, auxiliary equipment, installation requirements, pricing estimates, instruction manuals, and delivery schedules related to project specifications and order processing.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, product management, supply, engineering firms, and end-users to ensure projects successfully reach the bid phase.
  • Assist in product training for internal personnel and/or field sales, and support product presentations to customers or distributors.
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) for customer site visits, business meetings, and training courses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field. Candidates with an associate’s degree (A.S.) and relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Experience with or knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, such as pumps, motors, valves, hydraulic systems, fluid handling systems, or rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and plans, such as CAD drawings and bills of materials, to understand component-level operations and function.
  • Self-motivated with advanced problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and mechanical skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally with individuals both within and outside the organization.

Pay

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is $71,000 – $131,800 per year. Actual compensation will be based on experience, education, licensure, certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may also be eligible for an annual incentive bonus and other forms of compensation.
