Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers across user interface (UI), lighting, and power electronics applications, translating requirements into optimized solutions and product configurations.
- Provide application design guidance, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis of field issues, while supporting customer onboarding, design-in activities, and product launches.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering teams to optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration across multi-domain applications.
- Support and drive discussions with customers ensuring that product electrical and mechanical interfaces meet technical requirements.
- Deliver field-driven insights to R&D teams to influence product improvements, innovation, and overall application readiness.
- Conduct system-level validation of integrated solutions, supporting the setup of EMC, thermal, electrical, and reliability testing as required.
- Diagnose and support the resolution of performance issues across customer applications.
- Participate in design reviews, validation efforts, and the creation of reference designs, application notes, and technical documentation.
- Partner with sales teams to support technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposals, while identifying new application opportunities and contributing to competitive analysis and product positioning.
- Aid in product launch execution and provide ongoing support for manufacturing readiness and cross-functional coordination.
- Support in-field issues and warranty return analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application, design, or systems engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following domains:
- User interface systems (Over Head Consoles, switches)
- Interior and Exterior Lighting technologies (LED systems, drivers, controls)
- Power electronics (AC/DC, DC/DC converters, power management)
- Strong understanding of system interfaces, including mechanical, electrical, and thermal integration.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience using lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, power analyzers).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-domain or system-level integration (e.g., automotive, commercial vehicles, industrial).
- Familiarity with embedded systems, controls, or firmware integration.
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, automotive standards).
- Exposure to thermal management and EMI/EMC considerations.
