Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC bid requests, pricing requests, and issue of scopes.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure accurate estimations.
- Responsible for sourcing of pricing for materials, labor, and equipment, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities in estimating.
- Check accuracy of work on all aspects of jobs to ensure they are processed appropriately and accurately. Work to resolve issues and errors with appropriate salesperson and / or management prior to impact to the customer.
- Maintain price pages and ensure they are up to date.
- Maintain project schedules, ensuring that all estimation tasks are completed on time and align with overall project timelines.
- Maintain and update product templates in Dynamics scope template.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the estimation process.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to read and interpret complex documents.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, and computer printer.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able occasionally to lift up to 20 pounds for packages.
