Application Engineer 3 (Linux Server)

About the role

The Application Engineer 3 (Linux Server) position at Themis Insight is responsible for performing Linux server system administration functions, including stand-up, configuration, and maintenance of Linux servers. The role also involves monitoring and patching/upgrading Linux servers and AWS instances, assisting with security compliance controls, and supporting documentation of non-applicable controls.

Responsibilities

• Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
• Maintain and monitor Linux servers and AWS instances.
• Avoid and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
• Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
• Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
• Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
• Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete, excess, or replaced hardware.
• Document inventory changes.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed.
• Proficient with Linux, AWS, Ansible, and scripting (bash, Python).
• Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and AWS instances.
• Security + cert.
