Application Engineer 3

The Application Engineer III at Cyclonaire solves complex material handling challenges for customers across various industries. Key responsibilities include:

1. Evaluate customer application requirements and develop engineered solutions for pneumatic conveying and bulk material handling systems.
2. Partner with Business Development Managers, customers, and internal teams to identify challenges, recommend solutions, and develop technical proposals.
3. Manage complex application opportunities from initial evaluation through project handoff, applying advanced engineering knowledge and industry expertise.
4. Support customer testing activities, including setup, testing, analysis, and recommendations.
5. Identify technical risks and recommend optimized solutions.
6. Mentor and support less experienced Application Engineers.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement of application engineering processes, tools, and standards.

• Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4-7 years of engineering experience in industrial equipment, material handling systems, manufacturing, process engineering, automation, or related industries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with customers, sales teams, and internal departments.

• Preferred Experience:
• Experience in pneumatic conveying systems, bulk solids handling, material handling systems, industrial equipment, process engineering, manufacturing operations, capital equipment, industrial automation equipment, and mechanical system design.
• Experience in equipment sizing and selection and customer-facing engineering or technical sales support.

• Technical Skills:
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Microsoft Teams.
• Salesforce CRM.
• QuoteWerks.
• PneuCalc or similar engineering calculation tools.

Work Environment & Travel

This position may be based remotely or from Cyclonaire's York, Nebraska facility. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time for customer visits, testing activities, training, and business needs. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
