About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Developer specializing in web applications to join our dynamic team. This full-time role involves designing, developing, and deploying custom web and responsive applications primarily for our patient portal and mobile platforms. The successful candidate will play a critical role in pushing the boundaries of healthcare IT by creating innovative solutions that improve patient engagement and streamline clinical workflows. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work remotely within Colorado, contributing to a mission-driven organization dedicated to excellence in healthcare technology. Depending on experience, candidates will be considered for either the Application Developer or Senior Application Developer level, with corresponding compensation packages.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant application development experience
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC and responsive design principles
- Knowledge of web service APIs, FHIR, REST, and SOAP protocols
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and Entity Framework Core
- Experience with Azure tools for monitoring and observability
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, IIS, and Windows Server environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with Git version control and Azure DevOps tools
- Preferred qualifications include experience with JQuery, TypeScript, responsive design applications, and knowledge of Epic MyChart portal.
Responsibilities
- Develop ASP.NET Core MVC applications that are responsive across mobile devices and desktops, emphasizing mobile usability
- Create Single Page Application (SPA) pages for integration into the Patient Portal
- Design and implement solutions that connect with Epic EHR and third-party systems using web service APIs and FHIR standards
- Gather and analyze business requirements from technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
- Leverage Microsoft Azure tools for application observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain RESTful API layers used by mobile applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application design, development, and maintenance to ensure quality and functionality
- Translate design specifications into functioning applications using appropriate programming languages
- Conduct testing, load analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal application performance
- Continuously analyze application performance and implement improvements based on industry best practices
- Engage in agile development practices, utilizing Azure DevOps for sprint planning and continuous integration
- Maintain version control using GIT repositories and ensure code quality through regular reviews
