Application Developer (TS/SCI)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in accordance with established development standards and best practices.
• Apply structured development methodologies across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code using Java and integrate XML-based data structures where required.
• Implement and support integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) solutions within existing systems.
• Work across heterogeneous environments, including Linux and Windows operating systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, system issues, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software design, code, testing, and deployment processes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational software development standards, policies, and security guidelines.
• Collaborate with system users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet mission needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from accredited university and 3-10 years of software engineering experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Strong experience in Java application development.
• Proficiency in working with XML and related data formats.
• Experience integrating and maintaining COTS and FOSS solutions.
• Hands-on experience supporting applications in multi-platform environments (Linux and Windows).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
• Experience with secure or classified environments and mission-focused systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development tools.
• Exposure to Agile or DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, or service-oriented architectures.

Pay

Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000 - $190,000+
