Application Developer/Programmer

This is a full-time, on-site position supporting a federal government client in Northern Virginia. The position is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated start in September/October 2026 and a period of performance of 1 base year plus 4 option years.
About the Role
B&A is seeking an Application Developer/Programmer to develop, test, implement, and maintain web and database applications across the full software development life cycle. You will translate user requirements into end-to-end application and database designs with multiple interfaces, troubleshoot and resolve defects, document requirements and procedures, and communicate technical processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, implement, and maintain web and database applications.
- Translate user requirements into end-to-end application and database designs with multiple interfaces.
- Program in project-relevant languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, J2EE, JSP, HTML, XML, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JavaScript, Apache Tomcat, Git).
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects; document requirements, procedures, and reports.
- Communicate technical protocols and processes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Plan work, set goals, and monitor progress to delivery.
Requirements
- Entry Level: 0-2 years of specialized experience
- Journeyman: 2-4 years of specialized experience
- Full Performance: 4-6 years of specialized experience
- Senior Level: 6-8 years of specialized experience
- Subject Matter Expert (SME): 8-12 years of specialized experience
- Active TS/SCI with an FS Poly adjudicated within the last five (5) years
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Relevant certifications in programming and development, cloud and infrastructure, architecture and design, or related networking, cybersecurity, or technology disciplines.
Pay
Salary Range: $120,000 – $250,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, security clearance, and contract funding.
