About the role

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an IT Associate (Developer) to join their Intelligent Automation Products Unit at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Responsibilities

• Develop workflow automations and modern business applications
• Work with technologies such as C#, Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, SQL Server, and low-code platforms
• Design integrations between systems and applications
• Participate in software development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with business partners to transform manual processes into automated solutions
• Help deliver technology that improves efficiency for thousands of DMV employees and millions of Californians

What We're Looking For

• Candidates who enjoy solving problems and continuously learning
• Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
• Software development using C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or low-code automation platforms
• REST APIs and system integrations
• SQL Server, queries, joins, and stored procedures
• Git or Azure DevOps
• Software testing (UAT, regression, QA)
• Technical documentation and business analysis
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
