About the role
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking an IT Associate (Developer) to join their Intelligent Automation Products Unit at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
Responsibilities
- Develop workflow automations and modern business applications
- Work with technologies such as C#, Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, SQL Server, and low-code platforms
- Design integrations between systems and applications
- Participate in software development, testing, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with business partners to transform manual processes into automated solutions
- Help deliver technology that improves efficiency for thousands of DMV employees and millions of Californians
What We're Looking For
- Candidates who enjoy solving problems and continuously learning
- Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
- Software development using C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or low-code automation platforms
- REST APIs and system integrations
- SQL Server, queries, joins, and stored procedures
- Git or Azure DevOps
- Software testing (UAT, regression, QA)
- Technical documentation and business analysis
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
