About The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Developer to join the MANTECH team in Chantilly, VA. This full-time position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about software development and eager to contribute to impactful projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and support of existing applications, as well as engaging in new development initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on complex systems within a dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet stringent security and performance standards. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and professional experience, including: A high school diploma or GED, coupled with at least 7 years of experience in the Information Technology field.Strong proficiency in Java programming and development, with demonstrable hands-on experience.Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework, preferably Angular.Experience with the Spring Framework, RESTful services, SQL databases, and ORM libraries such as Hibernate or JPA.Proficiency with Git version control, including branching and merging within a team environment. Responsibilities The Application Developer will be tasked with a diverse set of responsibilities aimed at maintaining and advancing the company's software solutions: Designing, developing, and modifying software systems, applications, and tools, both existing and future projects.Analyzing user needs and software requirements to assess the feasibility of design within project constraints.Collaborating with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to develop new features and enhance existing functionalities.Creating and executing unit and integration tests, and participating in functional and regression testing to ensure software quality and performance.Identifying and correcting errors, rechecking programs to confirm desired outcomes, and working with help desk teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.Participating in code reviews by providing constructive feedback and adhering to established coding standards and best practices.Deploying code to various environments such as development, testing, and production using existing DevOps tools and infrastructure.
