1-year contract position with 25% travel. US Citizenship and an active Department of Defense Secret clearance are required.

About the role

We are seeking an Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop and maintain automation workflows, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines in enterprise-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure, cloud, security, and operational workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Shell scripting.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, automation workflows, and standardized runbooks.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using HashiCorp Terraform for provisioning, configuration management, and lifecycle management across cloud and on-prem platforms.
• Manage secrets, credential rotation, PKI integration, and secure automation practices using HashiCorp Vault.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot automation issues, document processes, and support compliance, change management, and large-scale operational environments.

Requirements

• Strong scripting expertise in Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Shell.
• Experience with Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows.
• Expertise with HashiCorp Terraform for IaC.
• Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and secure automation.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.
