Application Architect with strong AWS and Nodejs/typescript onsite in Dallas TX (hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead enterprise-scale AWS serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures.
• Define architecture standards, conduct design reviews, code reviews, and production readiness reviews across the full SDLC.
• Design scalable distributed systems, streaming data pipelines, and microservices using AWS services.
• Review and guide infrastructure as code using CDK or Terraform while enforcing engineering best practices.
• Design optimized DynamoDB data models, access patterns, and scalable document database solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve software architecture, system reliability, and AI-assisted development practices.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with 6+ years focused on AWS serverless architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS Lambda, Serverless Architecture, and distributed systems.
• Excellent experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of DynamoDB data modeling, single-table design, GSI strategies, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Kinesis, SQS, EventBridge, streaming architectures, and event-driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using CDK or Terraform.
• Experience with MongoDB, DocumentDB, Couchbase, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
• Strong experience conducting architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical leadership across enterprise projects.
