Application Architect (Payment Solutions & IB)
How You’ll Spend Your Time
- Define and execute technical strategy for card related solutions to align with the product and business strategy.
- Lead and drive solution recommendations using gap analyses across multiple technology options.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for UMB’s suite of Institutional platforms that support our Corporate Trust and Institutional Custody business lines.
- Interact with vendor team to resolve technical issues and serve as a technical point of contact.
- Maintain strong relationships with other teams within the technology organization to partner and collaborate during problem resolutions.
- Participate in ongoing system upgrades and patches as needed.
- Deliver on “Business As Usual” (BAU) commitments as outlined on the BAU Roadmap.
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of software development experience including system architecture.
- Corporate trust, custody and securities platforms experience.
- Experience with SWIFT payments and transactions.
- Experience with FIS Global Plus custody platform or another equivalent custody platform.
- Knowledge of Banking Payments domain and understanding of complex technical aspects of a holistic investments system including but not limited to data flows, batch processing, integrations and security.
- Strong experience with Web Services architectures, system integrations and implementation.
- Experience executing complex solutions from design through implementation.
- Proficiency in understanding risk and impact to business processes during production issues.
Bonus Points
- At least 3 years of SOA experience.
Hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) role at the UMB Technology & Operations Center located in downtown Kansas City, MO.
Compensation Ranges
- US Employees in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and New York: $100,710 - $157,630
- US Employees in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin: $91,950 - $144,320
- US Employees in all other states not listed above: $83,200 - $131,000
