Application Analyst IV – Enterprise Security Applications

Location: Charlotte, NC – Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) – 12-month contract + possible extension

About the role

Client’s Enterprise Security Applications Team is seeking an experienced Application Analyst IV to support the BEAR Enhancements initiative. This role will work closely with the Firewall Compliance team to maintain application reliability, improve data integrity, deliver secure solutions, and drive continuous operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the health, performance, reliability, and enhancement of the BEAR application.
• Design, develop, and support complex application solutions based on business requirements.
• Convert business needs into user stories, technical solutions, and high-quality deliverables.
• Partner with Product Owners and business teams to provide technical insights and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IT security and regulatory standards.
• Participate in and lead design/code reviews, testing, implementation, documentation, and source-control best practices.
• Work across the full Software/Application Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliverables in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of application development and support experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities, requirements, and user stories.
• Strong understanding of the application lifecycle and software development practices.

Skills

• Required: Strong SQL, including DBA activities and stored procedures.
• Preferred: C# development experience; Python (particularly for data extraction and automation); Angular, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and GUI development; RESTful APIs; Firewall/networking knowledge (Palo Alto or Fortinet experience preferred); Archer platform experience; experience with transactional and denormalized databases; Kafka experience.
