Application Analyst (Associate or Mid)

About the role

This position is posted at 2 levels based on experience: Associate Level and Mid-level Candidates will be aligned to the appropriate level based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance, support, and maintain an application within the UPHS health system under the direction of a senior analyst.
  • Test and implement scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades.
  • Fix system defects.
  • Work with cross-functional application teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application.
  • Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols.
  • Create and maintain all documentation for assigned applications in order to establish standards for configuration and enhancements within the application.
  • Develop, and execute test plans that are comprehensive and inclusive of application functionality changes and/or enhancements to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Participate in system upgrades and scheduled vendor releases as requested to enhance the application and meet project objectives.
  • Develop departmental standards regarding change control to ensure accurate data tracking and monitors change process by maintaining current protocols and reporting any problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance as assigned.
  • Deliver customer service to IS clients seamlessly across system boundaries.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED required, AND at least 1 year of directly related paid IT experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field (individuals with other majors may be considered with internship or other IT related experience).

Application Analyst

  • Optimize the application through development of new functionality.
  • Test and implement scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades.
  • Fix system defects.
  • Provide technical and functional application analysis, define system requirements, and develop logical data models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity.
  • Work with cross-functional application teams and UPHS clients by providing education on system functionality, and configuration of new tools to increase end user productivity within the application.
  • Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications, and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications.
  • Communicate all necessary application changes, enhancements, and procedures to all necessary internal department teams.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma/GED with 3+ years Relevant experience and 5+ years Healthcare IT.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years Relevant experience and 0-1 years and Healthcare IT.

Addendum

Serves as the liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners to drive the successful design, implementation, enhancement, and optimization of ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing processes, facilitating workshops, developing functional specifications, supporting testing efforts, and ensuring ServiceNow capabilities align with organizational goals and ITIL best practices. The Application Analyst will work closely with ServiceNow Administrators, Developers, Architects, Process Owners, and Executive Stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve service delivery, operational visibility, automation, CMDB maturity, and overall IT performance.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Remote (within PA, NJ, DE, and MD), M-F, 8 am – 4:30 pm.
