Appliance Technician
About the role
The Appliance Technician at PEAK Event Services is responsible for repairing and maintaining various rental appliances used in event settings. This position requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Examine equipment and identify the cause of breakdowns.
- Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on various LPG and electric appliances.
- Troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions.
- Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and causes of malfunctions.
- Provide repair estimates to management on damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
- Repair or replace defective or damaged components.
- Pull and pack of appliance rental orders.
- Maintain an accurate record of all costs to repair, replace, or maintain appliances.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with CMMS software is a plus.
- A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- National Appliance Service Technician Certification is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic skills.
- Clear and professional communication with clients, managers, and other technicians.
- The ability to use various hand and power tools.
- The ability to use various test equipment such as multimeters and leak detectors.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.

$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
