Appliance Installation and Repair Technician
About the role
This role involves traveling to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large appliances and home theater products. The goal is to provide exceptional customer service, maximize profitability, and ensure orders are completed accurately and promptly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare customers’ products for repair in the home
- Manage routes, part orders, and returns to minimize costs and losses
- Perform triage, manage client expectations, and update work orders accurately and timely
- Offer alternative solutions when customers choose not to proceed with repairs
- Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in collaboration with other team members
- Provide feedback and training opportunities to your team
Requirements
- Experience actively using and learning about home theater and appliance products
- Six months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products
- A year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment
- A year of experience in an electronics industry
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Current, valid driver’s license
- At least 21 years old
- Driving record meeting Best Buy safety standards
- Ability to lift 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and up to 150 pounds with help
- Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire
