Apparel Sales Representative – Northwest, Louisiana

About the role

Varsity Spirit is a leading global source for all things spirit, including cheerleading, dance team, performing arts, and yearbook. This is an outside sales, hybrid position based in the Northwest and LA (Bossier, Caddo, Desoto Parishes) regions. Sales activity takes place across a home office, local schools, community events, and in-person meetings with clients. The role requires living within or near the region and traveling locally and occasionally out-of-area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prospect for territory sales
• Conduct consults and fittings with coaches and athletes
• Meet and exceed assigned territory sales goals
• Provide honest and confident feedback about style and fit
• Seek fashion and product knowledge to build expertise
• Maintain personal drive to seek professional growth
• Prospect power – build rapport
• Build lasting relationships with customers
• Travel to appointments within the territory
• Excel in a work from home environment
• Recruit for summer camp brands

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of cheer and dance industry
• Willingness to learn in-depth product construction, technicalities, and pricing
• Organizational and follow-through abilities
• Ability to generate leads, forecast sales cycles, anticipate problems, and create effective solutions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business education or related field preferred
• Industry experience preferred
• Experience in an administrative support role for at least 2 years

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling, walking, and driving
• Able to lift 15-30 pounds
