Apparel Quality Control Inspector

About the role

As an Apparel Quality Control Inspector, you will be an essential part of the quality control and product development teams. You will become an expert in how to inspect apparel products, which includes taking precise and repeatable measurements, checking for defects in production and materials, and confirming that product meets desired specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on our apparel product line
• Take and record measurements
• Inspect garments for sewing or fabric defects
• Check apparel products against technical specification packets
• Perform color evaluations
• Communicate issues to supervisor so follow-up inspections can be organized
• Separate defective garments and classify them for rework if possible
• Pre-production inspections
• Check measurements
• Communicate results to product management team
• Address non-conforming product that can be fixed
• Wash dirty or stained product to get it back into stock
• Assign work to applicable re-work team
• Provide support on projects related to apparel quality control as needed

Qualifications

• Work well individually and as a part of a team
• Experience with sewing or fabrics or clothing
• Computer-proficient: Email and Microsoft Office (Excel)
• Good communicator
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Able to stand for lengthy periods of time and lift boxes up to 30 lbs
• Willing to learn and take on new tasks as needed
