Apparel Lead Full Time

The Apparel Lead will oversee the apparel department, ensuring the highest level of customer service and driving sales. This role involves managing inventory, merchandising, and executing seasonal strategies to meet financial goals. While the Apparel Lead does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, they play a critical role in supporting business performance and enhancing the Member experience.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience (GAA - Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate).
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with the Club Leadership team to ensure product availability. Maintain organized backstock for easy replenishment. Manage clearance, salvage, and markdown execution to achieve sell-through goals.
• Merchandising: Implement and maintain planograms and visual merchandising Gold Standards to create an appealing shopping environment. Ensure displays are attractive, organized, and stocked. Follow guidance and playbooks to execute prominent product placements.
• Gold Standards Compliance: Ensure all apparel displays and merchandise meet BJ’s Gold Standards for presentation and cleanliness. Organize and stack products to correct heights while referencing BJ’s Connect for company expectations.
• Planogram (POG) Execution: Set up and maintain HVS and apparel tables/displays according to current Planogram (POG) guidelines. Ensure all products are correctly placed and signed accurately.
• Pricing and Promotions: Ensure promotional events and signage are visible, accurate, and executed on time.
• Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Collaboration: Train, influence, motivate, and support the apparel team to achieve sales goals and maintain high performance standards. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for visual merchandising and presentation standards.
• Communication: Provide feedback and maintain open communication to improve the member experience and overall business. Escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.

Requirements

• Retail Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a retail environment, preferably in soft lines, apparel, or fashion.
• Organizational Skills: Task-oriented, reliable, and goal-driven.
• Customer Service: Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Merchandising Knowledge: Familiarity with merchandising principles and experience with Planogram (POG) execution.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Job Conditions

• Frequent standing and movement on hard surfaces.
• Regular lifting of up to 30 pounds; occasional heavier lifting with assistance.

Pay

In accordance with Pay Transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position starts at $17.50 per hour. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
