Responsibilities

  • Order, stock merchandise and maintain assigned section.
  • Maintain fixtures, displays, and signing.
  • Train, coach, and direct associates.
  • Perform production and customer service functions.
  • Maximize store sales and profits safely and ethically.
  • Recognize and ensure compliance with customer service actions.
  • Comply with stock displays, divisional signing, recovery, merchandising standards, ticketing standards, corporate policies, planograms, composites, and shrink control guidelines.
  • Coordinate and organize merchandising of the section.
  • Ensure on-hand integrity, RMS updates as needed.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Receive and process freight.
  • Perform inventory control functions as required.
  • Ensure ads and promotions are set to standard.
  • Process salvage.
  • Prepare for physical inventory as directed.
  • Process returns/exchanges.
  • Conduct stock counts.
  • Build ends and displays.
  • Maintain awareness of current market trends.
  • React to changing sales opportunities.
  • Process product deletions.
  • Ensure accuracy and follow up on price changes.
  • Sell products to customers.
  • Engage with customers and teach/demonstrate selling skills.
  • Participate in mandatory training programs.
  • Perform cashier functions, when required.
  • Process mail.
  • Maintain awareness of overstock/understock conditions.
  • Respond to verbal customer comments/complaints.
  • Assist in the inventory process.
  • Write Intersection Transfers.
  • Manage P & L responsibilities, seasonal sets.
  • Process mismates.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willing to be flexible and work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights as needed.
  • Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts like discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
  • Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.
  • Possess abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to sale of merchandise.
  • Qualified and able to operate power machinery and work with various job tools (Pallet jack, Forklift, compactors, box cutters, label guns, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Related retail work experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with apparel sales terms and processes.
  • Past work record reflecting dependability and integrity.
