Apparel Designer

Responsibilities

• Design seasonal menswear collections & SMU product
• Ownership of creating and maintaining tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more for assigned designs & categories.
• Collaborating with & assisting designers: creating/updating tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more for categories outside accessories.
• Research, interpret, and apply market trends (competitors and non-competitors) appropriate to the brand.
• To be flexible and adaptable in designing the best product for the brand & customer.
• Solve problems on designs/categories.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Office and Adobe Illustrator CAD-work a must.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Competencies

• Proficient in Adobe Suite & Microsoft Applications (i.e., Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong creativity in color, print, and pattern
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to generate creative solutions to business challenges

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in apparel design
