APP - OB/GYN - Waterloo, IA

About the Role

Full-time outpatient position at MercyOne Waterloo OB/GYN, a well-established, patient-centered women's health practice providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a collaborative team of experienced OB/GYN physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and support personnel at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Gynecology
  • Annual wellness examinations
  • Preventive care and health screenings
  • Contraceptive counseling and management
  • Evaluation and treatment of common gynecologic conditions
  • STI screening and treatment
  • Management of abnormal pap results and follow-up care
• Obstetrics
  • Routine prenatal visits
  • Postpartum follow-up care
  • Patient education and counseling
  • Care coordination with OB physicians and specialists
  • Monitoring low-risk pregnancies under established protocols
• Procedures
  • Pelvic examinations
  • Pap smears
  • Endometrial biopsies
  • IUD insertion and removal
  • Other office-based procedures consistent with training and experience

Patient Population: Adolescent gynecology, reproductive-age women, prenatal patients, postpartum patients, menopausal and post-menopausal women.

Team Environment

The APP will work closely with:

• Board-certified OB/GYN physicians
• Certified nurse midwives
• Experienced nursing staff
• Referral coordinators
• Women's health specialists
• Maternal-fetal medicine consultants when needed

Schedule

• Monday through Friday clinic schedule
• No hospital call requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current Iowa licensure or ability to obtain
• Women's Health, Family Practice, or related experience preferred
• Board certification required
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
