Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care
- Work independently and collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage, and evaluate patient care
- Function as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate
- Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions
- Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency in professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty
- Serve in a clinical role to assist the physician in ensuring total patient care
- Interact directly with patients and patient families to maximize quality patient care
- Perform other related duties
Required: Signed Collaborative Agreement and valid DEA number if writing prescriptions for controlled substances.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in nursing
- Hospital and/or payer credentialing completed before functioning in this role
- Master’s Degree
- National Nurse Practitioner certification
- Nurse Practitioner certification
- Registered Nurse licensure
Qualifications
- Three years in oncology nursing (desired)
