Responsibilities

  • Provide healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care
  • Work independently and collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage, and evaluate patient care
  • Function as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate
  • Apply knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions
  • Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency in professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty
  • Serve in a clinical role to assist the physician in ensuring total patient care
  • Interact directly with patients and patient families to maximize quality patient care
  • Perform other related duties

Required: Signed Collaborative Agreement and valid DEA number if writing prescriptions for controlled substances.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in nursing
  • Hospital and/or payer credentialing completed before functioning in this role
  • Master’s Degree
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Registered Nurse licensure

Qualifications

  • Three years in oncology nursing (desired)
