APP - Colorectal Surgery

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with anorectal disorders (hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, abscesses, pruritus ani, functional anorectal complaints).
• Perform independent patient assessments and office-based procedures.
• Provide postoperative management and ensure continuity of care.
• Cookordinate surgical care when operative intervention is needed.
• Support rapid access for urgent anorectal concerns to improve patient flow and outcomes.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner (NP): Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of OhioCompletion of an accredited NP program (FNP, AGNP, or ACNP accepted depending on clinical background)National NP certification (ANCC, AANP, or equivalent)DEA license or eligibility (including ability to prescribe Schedule II medications)BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Physician Assistant (PA): Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant programCurrent Physician Assistant license in the State of OhioNCCPA certificationDEA license or eligibility to prescribe Schedule II medicationsBLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire)
